The Man, The Myth, The Legend: Jeff Boss

The Man, The Myth, The Legend: Jeff Boss

If you are from New Jersey, follow politics, and care about who you elect into office then you must have heard of Corey Booker and Jeff Bell. Currently these two men are hoping and competing against on another to be elected part of the U.S. Senate.  Jeff Bell is a conservative, strong believer in tax cuts, and the Republican U.S. nominee.  On the other side is Corey Booker nationally famed, supporter of equal pay for women, and the Democratic U.S. nominee. I'm sure while reading this you're thinking to yourself that you are already well informed of each candidate, but take a second and think, have you ever heard of Jeff Boss? Few might recognize the name, and for many (including myself) have never heard of him before. Even though he is considered a long shot, everyone should hear what he has to say.  So, ladies and gentlemen prepared to be amazed while I introduce you to Jeff Boss and his eccentric campaign techniques.

"Not one main stream media station will run my story or my paid for political ads." Maybe that is because you're campaign slogans are "NSA did 9/11" and "NSA whistle blower" Boss has ran for many elections, including the Presidential races in 2008, 2012 and plans to be in during the 2016 election, but was only on ballots in certain states. He also has ran for the U.S. senate In New Jersey. In 2009  he ran for Governor and came in third behind Corzine. In 2008 he ran for Senate and received 9,827 votes. That might seem like a large number but in reality it puts a small dent into the the whole population. Its not that he doesn't know what he is talking about, its just how he goes about appealing himself. Booker and Bell are successful because they appeal to the people and what the people want. Boss on the other hand is looking to help the everyday person, but is almost attacking the potential voters with his accusations against the NSA.

"Vote for Boss and take back America." Boss has the idea that the NSA controls everything and is constantly watching us. Despite all of that, he continues to run each election in hopes of bringing about change. Its not always the size of the dog in the fight, but it's the size of the fight in the dog. This applies perfectly to Boss; he isn't a big name guy with a huge group of supporters, but continues to fight for what he believes in. That makes him so much different from the average politician running for election or reelection. The ones who have already been in office are only worried about staying in office and doing what ever means necessary to get voted back in. Where as Boss refuses to go with the popular crowd and stands on something he strongly believes in, despite it going against the majority of the populations' belief about 9/11.

His actually policy leanings aren't that outrageous but the way he presents them are detrimental to his campaign. It's not always about money; it's about how you present your ideas. Corey Booker and Jeff Bell are the obvious choices to many, but if Jeff Boss were to revise his campaigning techniques, no matter how bizarre he would become more competitive in his elections. Im not saying he is going to win, but he will definitely gain an increase in votes if he were to revise his current techniques. Rather than attacking people he should compromise with the people, for example instead of having the slogan "Vote for Boss and take back America" he could put a slight change to it and make it sound less aggressive like, Vote for Boss and TOGETHER we can take back America."
